Who gives a second thought to bus stops? Well, you might turn heads with your creative bus stop design if you win the contest at www.nextstopdesign.com. Anybody can submit a design, and there is a nice inspirational gallery of unique bus stops around the world.

The contest is part of a  a research project called “Crowdsourcing Public Participation in Transit Planning,” hosted by the Utah Transit Authority, and the University of Utah’s Department of City & Metropolitan Planning, and sponsored by the USDOT and Federal Transit Administration.
